Credits

Billing runs on credits. Personal organizations get a free monthly credit allowance (currently $20) applied to its usage, so small projects can stay free. You can add more credit anytime from your billing settings.

How usage is priced

Pricing depends on where your project runs:

• Bring your own Cloud — you pay Spawned a monthly rate for each component in your project (a container, a database, a bucket, and so on), and you pay your cloud provider directly for the underlying resources. Rates vary by component type.
• Spawned-managed — Spawned bills a percentage of your cloud spend, and the cloud costs are included in your Spawned bill.

Where billing lives

Billing belongs to the organization. A personal organization is billed to you; a team organization shares a single credit balance and bill across its members. Manage your balance, payment method, and invoices from the organization’s billing settings.

You can track a project’s own cloud cost over time on its dashboard under Usage.
